Carrie Megan

Community Art

Originally from NYC, Carrie began her career as a graphic designer and art director, where she worked for many years on branding and packaging for a diverse range of consumer products.

Marriage and a position at Gillette as a design manager took her to Boston, and eventually to Wellesley in 2000.

Along the way, she discovered the exacting art of botanical drawing and painting, which led her on a journey to capture the minute details and ephemeral beauty of plant life in growth and decay.

After completing a certificate program and working many years as a botanical artist and teacher, she expanded her focus to take in the broad vistas of nature through the art of landscape painting.

Her work is in numerous private collections, and she is represented locally by Libby Silvia Artstyle, in Chatham at ArtNova Gallery, on Block Island at the Jessie Edwards Gallery, in Baltimore at Bozzuto Greene Gallery, and in Atlanta at Jenner McGinn Studio.
